About the builder
Wheatland Custom Homes, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Rick Martin. Rick has spent nearly 40 years in the construction industry and has a wealth of experience in helping homeowners create their dream home.
Honesty and value are the trademarks of Wheatland. “The marketplace needs builders to provide solid value and good, honest answers. Customers want someone to tell them the truth,” says Rick. “They need the input of experienced builders to help them understand all the implications of seemingly minor design.”
Rick’s experience and honest approach gives his client value. Wheatland’s in-house design team works closely with their customers to ensure the elements they desire are incorporated into the design and meet the budget. “From a design point of view, most of the time a home can be improved with just a little thought,” says Rick.
Wheatland has won a multitude of awards from both the Building Industry Association of Lancaster County and the Home Builders Association of Metro Harrisburg for their Parade of Homes entries over the years, including the BIA’s prestigious Fulton Award in 2000.
Wheatland is dedicated to building ENERGY STAR® qualified homes in the Lancaster, Lebanon, Dillsburg, and Harrisburg areas.
